guiding Shogyoji and all of it's branches since 1967.

Rev. Prof. Kemmyo Taira Sato
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust and Director of Three Wheels(1997 - Present)
Professor of Western and Buddhist Philosophy and Visiting Professor at
the School of Oriental and African Studies. Reverend Professor Kemmyo
Sato continues to provide pivotal support and direction for all activities that take place at Three Wheels.

Professor John White CBE
Trustee and
Honorary Secretary of the London Shogyoji Trust(1997 - Present)
Former Vice-Provost of University College London
and Professor of History of Art. Professor John White's encounters with
Shogyoji were instrumental in the establishment of Three Wheels and the
Stone Garden.

Mr. Reitaro Oga
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust
(1997 - Present)
Mr. Reitaro Oga a manufacturer of sake is a Responsible Trustee of
Shogyoji Temple. His family's relationship with Shogyoji dates back 400
years. In approximately 1590, an ancestor of Mr. Oga became a follower
of a Buddhist priest Ryoen, and donated approximately 1000 square
meters of land in Futsukaichi for the building of Shogyoji Temple.

Dr. Masayoshi Sakimura

Dr. Masayoshi Sakimura, a practicing medical doctor and also a
Responsible Trustee of Shogyoji Temple in Japan, is from a long family
line that has over generations provided great support for Shogyoji and
it's activities.

Dr. Stephen Montgomery

Dr. Stephen Montgomery, a former Lecturer at University College
London in the department of Mechanical Engineering, was one of the
founding members of Three Wheels.

Mr. Fred Adkins
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust

A businessman originally from South Africa and a friend to Mr. Kenji Toda,
Mr. Fred Adkins was one of the original founding members of Three
Wheels. His main contribution to Three Wheels is for his expertise in
handling co-operative relations and in giving financial advice in the British context.

Mrs. Ann Montgomery
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust

Mrs. Ann Montgomery, wife of Dr. Montgomery and a qualified London Blue
Badge Guide, has provided guidance to Three Wheels with her great
knowledge of England and English traditions.

Mrs. Kaori Punwani
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust
(2003 - Present)
Daughter of Mr. Kenji Toda,
Mrs. Kaori Punwani is the youngest Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust. Resident in Three Wheels, 1997-2008. Her responsibilites include coordination of activities for younger members
of the samgha.

Prof. Hideaki Nagase

Hideaki
Nagase is Professor and Head of Matrix Biology Department at Imperial
College London, UK. While he investigates biochemical causes of
cartilage destruction in arthritis, he studies Buddhism.

Mr. Izumi Ida
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust
(2005 - Present)
Mr. Izumi Ida is the Chairman of the Mizota Corporation and a graduate
of the Law Department of Tokyo University. He is the former Chairperson
of the Saga Prefecture Public Safety Commision. Currently he is a
resident of Toho Taya, Shogyoji Temple, Japan.

Mrs. Etsuko Crellin
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust
(2007 - Present)
A long-time member of the Three Wheels family, together with her husband, Mr. Anthony Crellin, has, in addition to giving constant help to Hiroko Sato, on her own initiative founded the organisation of the Friends of Three Wheels. She also had the Zen garden included in the National Gardens Scheme, the first four official Openings taking place in the Spring of 2007.

Mr. Andrew Webb

Andrew Webb lives with his family in London and has been working in the
public sector since leaving full time education in the 1990's . Andrew
has been assisting Three Wheels in the editing of its newsletter and
helping with some of its regular activities.

Mr. Andy Barritt
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust
(2009 - Present)
A long-standing participant in the Three Wheels Dharma-movement, Andy
has been particularly involved in assisting the Director with editorial
work, and in the development of the twice-yearly Shokai Retreats. He
has a Master's Degree in Buddhist Studies.

Mrs. Hiroko Sato
Honorary Treasurer of the London Shogyoji Trust
(2004 - Present)
Mrs. Hiroko Sato has dedicated her life to Three Wheels. She is the wife of Reverend Sato and is responsible for managing all practical aspects of daily living and special events at the Three Wheels houses and giving wise counsel, when needed, to all who visit them.

Rev. Kensin Hiroshi Ishii
Deputy Director of Three
Wheels
(2007 - Present)
Rev. Ishii came from Shogyoji Temple early in 2006 to assist the
Director with his ever-increasing workload. He was later joined by his wife
Sanae, who is now greatly assisting Mrs. Sato, together with their two
children. Notable among the many ways in which he is contributing to the running
of Three Wheels is his taking over of responsibility for the maintenance of the
Zen Garden and for the control and updating the reorganized Website.

Mr. John Read
Trustee of the London Shogyoji Trust
(1999 - 2005)
A painter, craftsman, landscape and garden architect, both
designed and personally built the Zen Garden Viewing Shelter with it's
complex, dowelled frame in English oak, it's wattle and daub panels and
thatched roof in Norfolk reed. He also helped to select the trees that
surround the Garden and gave his expert advice whenever it was needed.
